How often do you change out your supplies?

CPAP and BiLevel supplies not changed as directed could lead to infections and respiratory problems. We strongly recommend that patients replace their supplies, in accordance with insurance recommended guidelines, to ensure maximum machine efficiency, to guard against illness and infections, and to benefit fully from the treatment.

Please refer to the guidelines below to experience the best results possible while on PAP therapy:

DID YOU KNOW? Changing your PAP supplies regularly can improve your therapy experience and help prevent the common cold and allergies? Plus, the best part is most insurance plans allow for supply replacement based on the timelines detailed below.

EACH MONTH:

  • Mask Cushions and Pillows
  • Disposable Filters

DID YOU KNOW? Cushions lose their seal over time. If you have to continually tighten and over tighten the headgear to maintain a seal with your mask, it will not fit comfortably and you can actually harm yourself in the process.

EVERY 3 MONTHS:

  • Mask
  • Tubing (Standard or Heated)

DID YOU KNOW? Most common CPAP masks are made of plastic and silicone and most headgear is made from neoprene. All of these materials break down with frequent use. Bacteria is never fully eliminated from your mask or tube. As they age, bacteria builds up and becomes harmful to your health.

EVERY 6 MONTHS:

  • Headgear
  • Chin Straps
  • Non-Disposable Filters
